The department comprises four laboratories:-
1- Process and Reactor Engineering Laboratory:-
Conducts research on process and reactor design, simulation and optimization using commercial and own developed software's.
2-Energy Laboratory:-
Conducts research on energy conservation, energy storage, and transportation of crude and petroleum products, combustion of gaseous fuels, design of pipeline networks.
3-Special Processes Laboratory:-
Conducts research development of processes such as conversion reactions of hydrocarbons, surfactants and their applications, soil conditioners and slow release fertilizers, lubricating oils, greases and their additives.
4-Biotechnological Application Laboratory :-
Conducts research and development on biotechnological application in the field of petroleum
