       Is a publication of the Egyptian Petroleum Research Institute (EPRI). Founded by EPRI, EGYPTIAN JOURNAL OF PETROLEUM was first published in 1992. This peer-reviewed journal provides up-to- date information of the significant topics in this field and their impact on the scientific and technological developments.

 

Scope

       The EGYPTIAN JOURNAL OF PETROLEUM is addressed to the fields of crude oil, natural gas, energy and related subjects. Its objective is to serve as a forum for research and development covering the following areas:

       - Sedimentation and petroleurn exploration.

       - Production.

       - Analysis and testing

       - Chemistry and technology of petroleum and natural gas.

       - Refining and processing.

       - Catalysis.

       - Applications and petrochemicals.

       

       It also publishes original research papers and reviews in areas relating to synthetic fuels and lubricants - pollution - corrosion - alternate sources of energy - gasification, liquefaction and geology of coal - tar sands and oil shale. - biomass as a source of renewable energy.

 

       To meet with these requirements, the EGYPTIAN JOURNAL OF PETROLEUM Welcomes manuscripts and review papers reporting on the state-of-the-art in the afore mentioned topics.

 

       EGYPTIAN JOURNAL OF PETROLEUM Is also willing to publish the proceedings of petroleum energy related conferences in a single volume form.

 

Manuscripts

 

       1.The research work submitted for publication should be original and not been previously published or being submitted for publication elsewhere.

 

       2. Manuscripts are invited in one of the following forms:

 

               (a) Full papers.

 

               (b) Notes.

 

               (c) Letters to the editor comprising results that justify prompt publication.

 

       3. Full papers should include an abstract of 100 to 150 words.

 

The contents, of the manuscript should be arranged in well defined sections including Introduction - Experimental - Results & Discussions - References.

 

       4. The first page of the manuscript should give the title, author(s) name(s), affiliation, abstract and key words (not exceeding 8) that identify the most important, subjects covered by the paper.

 

       5. Tables and Figures should be presented 1 on separate sheets.

 

       6. Notes do not need an abstract.

 

       7. References should include the initials of the authors, be numbered according to their appearance in the text and written in the following manner:

       8. Manuscripts should be typewritten doublespaced on one side only of A/4 size paper

 

       9. An original and two copies of the manuscript have to be submitted to the Editor-in- Chief of the Journal:  Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El - Batanony Egyptian Petroleum Institute - Nasr City - 7th region.

 

       10. A fee of twenty Egyptian pounds for Egyptian Institutions and fifty US$ for non-Egyptian Institutions should be remitted with each submitted paper to cover handling and refereeing expenses.

 

       11. Once the paper is accepted for publication, a fee of 2 LE or 2 US$ per page will be requested.

 

 

Reprints.

 

         Authors are entitled to 50 re prints, without covers, free of charge. Additional reprints may be purchased and have to be ordered once the submitted pa per has been accepted for publication.
